Does your business want to become more efficient in how it operates? Do you want to reduce inventory and increase sales? If so, you are not alone. Many businesses – both large and small – are challenged by the order-to-cash cycle. One solution that has benefited many is the implementation of a Lean process culture. Lean, a system for continuous process improvement, was developed primarily from the Toyota Production System (TPS), and helps to shorten the order-to-cash cycle by defining what is value according to the customer, and organizing and improving processes to deliver what is needed, and with minimal waste. Companies of all shapes and sizes can benefit from lean implementation. Whether it’s your plant floor, production line, front office, or more, a lean process will improve your bottom line.
So what exactly is “Lean” and how can it translate to more efficiency – and ultimately more cash – for you and your business? A lean enterprise essentially eliminates waste throughout the business. Waste, such as waiting, transportation between stations, inventory and over-production, costs you resources but adds no value to the customers you serve. These non-value-added activities typically equate to 95 percent of all manufacturing effort; a mere 5 percent of your manufacturing activities actually add value for your clients. A lean process places sequential processes next to each other and creates a standard method for accomplishing work.
The benefits of lean are proven and well documented. Lean will help you increase profits while:
· Decreasing cycle time
· Reducing inventory and work-in-process
· Increasing capacity
· Increasing productivity while improving quality
· Streamlining processes and workflow
· Increasing sales
· And much more.
In order to explain what “Lean” could do for your business, you are invited to this free two hour seminar.
